Kris Sergi

Director, Producer, Teacher, & Choreographer

Kris Sergi is a Director, Vocalist, Music Teacher, Choreographer, Dancer, and Art Lover based in the Inner-West of Sydney. In 2022 Kris completed her Bachelor of Music Performance in Vocal Classical Studies from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music under the tutorlidge of Andrew Goodwin.

Over her time at the Conservatorium Kris fell in love with the music industry and developed a passion for working in events, both on and off stage.  This passion has continued and she currently works at the University of Sydney Union as an Event Coordinator, planning and running events for students and the community.

Kris's love affair with Theatre and Music commenced at a tender age of 2, and since then, she has been on an extraordinary journey. A seasoned dancer, she has not only completed BBO Tap and Contemporary exams up to Advanced One but has also successfully conquered RAD Ballet exams up to the same level. 

Her stage presence and expertise in dance have shone in various productions, including the recent "Sunday in the Park with George" (MUSE, 2022) and her standout performance as Glinda in "Wicked," earning her the University Theatre Cup in 2022.

Beyond the spotlight, Kris has contributed extensively to the performing arts community in Sydney, working as an Usher and Stage Manager for numerous productions. Her diverse skill set extends to Voice and Piano Teaching, boasting over seven years of experience. Additionally, Kris has dedicated over eleven years to the dance and theatre community, showcasing her versatility as a Director, Choreographer, Usher, Stage manager, and more.

Kris' first directorial experience began in 2018 and since then she has gone on to direct and choreograph many shows including; The Addams Family (2023, North Shore Theatre Company); High School Musical (UTS Backstage), Science Revue (2023, Sydney University), Into the Woods (2022), The Little Mermaid (2022), Moana Jr (2022), The Addams Family Young @ Part (2022), Grease (2021), Legally Blonde (2021), Oliver Jr (2021), The Wizard of Oz (2021), and more.

Kris is known for her collaborative approach, detailed visual storytelling, and ability to bring out the best in her students, casts, and creative teams. Her unwavering commitment, attention to detail, and unparalleled storytelling skills continue to shape the narrative of the performing arts scene in Sydney.
